In such worrying times across the world, where it is hit with many worrying issues, women across the world have risen to make a difference in their countries and in the world at large, and we often get to read about such wonder women, and be in awe of them. Fancy this thought for a bit: ‘What if we had an empowered wonder woman in every household?’ This is the mandate of Vizhithelu penne, and this is exactly what we intend to strive for in the years to come.

Vizhithelu penne is the brainchild of Sasikala Narenthira, who has ideated the cornerstone values and has worked hard since its inception to help women around the world to become better versions of themselves through different programmes and drives that make women in their respective local communities to lead a change that is most needed in these changing times.

From helping women entrepreneurs in setting up their businesses, to helping those who are in need of urgent assistance during times of unrest and the pandemic, we have not only helped in empowering women but have also broadened the scope of our work, in order to make sure the needy are taken care of – directly.

In order to make this a reality, we have volunteers from across the world, in up to 18 countries, who have not only tendered their support in our cause, but also have delved deep into their respective societies to make a direct impact in alleviating those communities to the next level.

We don’t work with celebrities – we work with people directly as we believe it has the most profound impact and it is that change that would drive our mission forward in one way or another – through us and through those whose lives we helped shape.
